About the Special Executive Masters Programme

The MSBM Special Executive Masters Programme is a short certificate training/seminar designed for anyone who would benefit from more in-depth business knowledge delivered in a short and intensive Programme. This programme is suitable for successful professionals or specialists in the private, public or non-profit making sectors that have new management responsibilities and need to expand their management knowledge quickly.

The (SEMP) Programme serves as a refresher course for those who had their Master's Degree a long time ago and need a quick reminder or as an academic update while it serves as a crash Programme for those very experienced professionals who never made time out for their masters yet they require the academic and practical relevance of this masters’ experience. It is a good Programme for individuals who are newly promoted to managerial post, the program enables them to acclimatize to the new position as well as help them intake the right decisions.

 
Objectives:

After attending this course, participants would be able to:

• Understand international money laundering standards and the participant’s role as an Anti-Money Laundering Officer or Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) within their organization.
• Establish a risk-based approach to AML, the AML/CTF Framework, business risk assessments, and suspicious activity reports.
• Assess customer, product, and jurisdictional risks, and identify red flags.
• Develop methods for training and culture to identify and combat money laundering activities related to their organization.

This online training course is intended for law enforcement personnel who specialize in gathering intelligence about serious crimes of any kind. The exercise is intended for all investigators who want to learn the fundamental principles and procedures of financial investigation.

• Customs, police, judicial officers, and civilian FIU staff are all equally welcome.
• Compliance Officers, AML Officers, and Money Laundering Reporting Officers (MLROs) Know Your Customer (KYC) analysts, auditors, and any other professionals with responsibilities for financial compliance within their organization. 
• professionals can learn how to identify and combat money laundering activities and protect their organizations. Both, participants with no previous AML experience and participants seeking AML certification, benefit from this course.

• Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) Rulebook.

Day 2: The Role and Responsibilities of a Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).

• Understanding, The role of the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO).
• The Annual AML Return.
• Training and Awareness.
• Optimizing Risk-Based Approach.

 

Day 3: Anti-Money Laundering in the workplace:

• Learning about Anti-Money Laundering policy.
• Understanding Business Risk Assessment.
• Analyzing Customer Risk Assessment.
• Optimizing Customer Due Diligence (CDD).
• Analyzing Politically Exposed Person (PEP).
• Learning Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD).
• Identifying the Source of Funds and Source of Wealth (SOF, SOW).

Day 4: Monitoring and Screening Money Laundering.

• Analyzing Monitoring Customers.
• Monitoring Transactions.
• Understanding Sanctions.
• Learning of the methods of Screening Employees.

Day 5: Cases in Money Laundering.

• This unit introduces and discusses a case study of Money Laundering and its prevention.

There is no strict Academic Requirement for this Programme as it is a Non-Credit Bearing Programme. However, Students are expected to have working experience as a Team Lead, Supervisor, or Manager.

Please check with your Country’s Ministry of Foreign Affair to know if you require a UK VISA to come into the country. 

If you do require a UK Visa, kindly note that you are required to handle this on your own without any recourse to us.
