These FAQs explain the key registration, attendance, payment, refund, rescheduling, travel and visa arrangements for the MSBM Graduation Ceremony. They should be read together with your registration confirmation, invoice and any event-specific terms issued by MSBM.
The final date for registration is 30 September 2026. Students who require visa support are strongly encouraged to register as early as possible, as visa processing times are determined by the relevant immigration authorities and cannot be guaranteed by MSBM.
Complete the Graduation Ceremony registration or interest form and follow the payment and confirmation instructions issued by MSBM. Your attendance should not be treated as confirmed until MSBM has issued confirmation and any required payment has been received and cleared.
Guest attendance is subject to the capacity, guest allocation and registration arrangements for the particular ceremony. Please do not make non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements for guests until their attendance has been confirmed by MSBM.
The Registration Fee covers only the items expressly stated by MSBM as being included in the applicable Graduation Ceremony package, registration page, invoice or confirmation. Any item not expressly stated as included remains the responsibility of the student or attendee.
The Graduation Luncheon fee is £200. Graduands are entitled to a 40% discount on the Luncheon fee. To request the applicable discount code, please email [email protected].
No, unless MSBM has expressly stated in writing that a particular item is included in the applicable Graduation Ceremony package. Students and guests are ordinarily responsible for their own flights, accommodation, local transport, travel insurance and other personal travel expenses.
Please notify the MSBM Graduation Committee as early as possible if you will be unable to attend the full programme. Participation in individual activities will depend on the published ceremony schedule and any applicable attendance requirements.
Being unable to attend part of the scheduled programme does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a partial or full refund.
Once payment has been received and MSBM has commenced arrangements, made bookings, committed resources or incurred costs in preparation for your attendance, the applicable Graduation Ceremony or Event fees are non-refundable.
MSBM Events may be organised in collaboration with third-party service providers. Fees paid, committed or incurred in connection with your attendance may therefore become non-refundable and, where applicable, non-transferable once the relevant arrangements have been confirmed or costs incurred.
MSBM understands that personal circumstances can change. However, a change in employment, family circumstances, travel plans, personal commitments or a decision not to attend does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund where MSBM has already provided services, made arrangements or incurred costs in reliance on your confirmed attendance.
Where appropriate, you may request to reschedule to a future Graduation Ceremony, subject to availability and the applicable rescheduling terms.
No. Graduation Ceremony registrations are personal to the registered student or attendee and are ordinarily non-transferable. Third-party arrangements made in the registered attendee's name may also be non-transferable.
Yes. A student who is unable to attend may request to transfer their registration to the next available Graduation Ceremony, subject to availability, any non-recoverable third-party costs and any applicable administrative or change fee.
A student may ordinarily reschedule up to three (3) times at the Registration Fee applicable to the original booking, subject to availability, non-recoverable third-party costs already incurred and any applicable administrative or change fee.
Where a student requests a fourth rescheduling, the student will be required to pay any difference between the original Registration Fee and the Registration Fee applicable to the new Graduation Ceremony, together with any applicable administrative, third-party or other related charges.
No. All rescheduling requests are subject to the availability of a suitable future Graduation Ceremony within MSBM's published calendar. MSBM cannot guarantee a particular date, venue or location.
Yes. Where virtual attendance is available, you may participate in the Graduation Ceremony remotely if you are unable to travel.
Your Graduation gown may also be shipped to you, subject to an additional shipping and handling fee.
Once you have attended the Ceremony virtually and your Graduation gown has been shipped, your participation will be regarded as completed and you will no longer be eligible to reschedule your Graduation Ceremony to a future date.
Where MSBM cancels the Graduation Ceremony and does not provide the relevant service or a reasonably equivalent alternative, any refund entitlement will be determined in accordance with the applicable contract, the services not provided and your statutory rights. Where the ceremony is rescheduled, MSBM will communicate the available options to registered attendees.
Whether you require a UK visa depends on your nationality and individual immigration status. It is your responsibility to confirm the immigration permission required for your journey and to obtain it before travelling.
The student or attendee is responsible for ensuring that they possess all passports, visas, transit visas, immigration permissions and other documentation required to travel to the United Kingdom, transit through any other country and attend the Graduation Ceremony.
Where MSBM offers a visa-application or visa-support service, MSBM's responsibility is limited to the specific service expressly agreed with the student. This may include providing an invitation letter, supporting documentation or other information relating to the student's intended attendance.
The decision to grant or refuse a visa rests entirely with the relevant immigration authority. MSBM cannot guarantee the outcome or processing time of any visa application.
No. A visa refusal or delay does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund.
Any request for a refund, credit or rescheduling will be considered in accordance with this Policy, taking into account services already provided and any costs, bookings or commitments already incurred by MSBM. Fees and third-party costs which have already been incurred and are non-recoverable remain non-refundable.
MSBM may decline a discretionary refund where the visa issue resulted from inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by the student, failure to satisfy applicable immigration requirements, late submission of documents, failure to provide requested information, or another matter within the student's reasonable control.
A visa refusal affecting a guest does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund of the student's Graduation Ceremony Registration Fee. Any guest-specific fees or costs will be considered separately in accordance with the applicable terms and whether the relevant costs are recoverable.
No. Where MSBM has provided the agreed visa-application or visa-support service and the student's visa has been successfully granted, the visa-related service will be regarded as having been completed. Any applicable visa-processing, administrative or support fees are therefore non-refundable.
A subsequent change in personal circumstances, employment commitments, travel arrangements or a decision not to attend does not create an entitlement to a refund for visa-related services already provided by MSBM. Any third-party fees or costs already paid, incurred or committed in connection with the visa application are also non-refundable where those amounts cannot be recovered by MSBM.
Any request concerning the Graduation Ceremony Registration Fee itself will be considered separately under the event refund and rescheduling provisions above.
Where MSBM has provided an invitation, visa-support documentation, sponsorship-related information or other assistance in connection with your intended attendance, MSBM will update its records if you subsequently cancel or confirm that you no longer intend to travel for that purpose.
Where required by law, applicable immigration or sponsorship obligations, or where reasonably necessary to ensure that information previously provided remains accurate, MSBM may notify the relevant UK authorities, including UK Visas and Immigration or the Home Office, of the cancellation, non-attendance or change in circumstances.
Any decision concerning the continued validity, amendment, curtailment or cancellation of a visa is made by the relevant immigration authority, not by MSBM. Students should obtain independent immigration advice where necessary. Any subsequent action taken by an immigration authority does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund of services already provided or non-recoverable costs already incurred by MSBM.
Where possible, students are advised to avoid making non-refundable travel or accommodation arrangements until their visa position and Graduation Ceremony attendance are sufficiently confirmed. Unless expressly included in an MSBM package, personal travel arrangements are made at the student's own responsibility.
No. Nothing in these FAQs or the MSBM Graduation Ceremony Refund Policy excludes, restricts or limits any statutory rights which cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Please contact the MSBM Graduation Committee using the Contact Us option on the Graduation Ceremony page. Where your question relates to a visa or immigration status, you may also wish to obtain independent immigration advice.
