Entry Requirements
For entry onto theInternational Postgraduate Diploma (IPGD) in Strategic Business Management qualification, learners must possess:
- An honours degree in a related subject or the UK level 6 diploma or equivalent overseas qualification, i.e. Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma
OR
- Mature learners (over 25) with at least five years of management experience if they do not possess the above qualification (this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis)
Course Modules
This module provides the most critical information about the study course and assignment submission.
The course is designed to help students become good researchers, to become familiar with the steps in proposing research topics, and clearly apply research knowledge in education. After completing the course, students will be able to prepare a research plan, collect data, address research questions and hypotheses, and organize a project report.
The Innovation and Entrepreneurship module gives students an overview of the new venture development process, with the goal of equipping them with the skills they'll need to spot possibilities and turn them into profitable ventures. The emphasis is on identifying business concepts and conducting feasibility analyses to determine their commercial viability.
On completion of this unit, learners will have gained knowledge and understanding relating to planning the usage and management of a business organization’s financial resources. Learners will understand the importance of attaining business objectives and maximizing shareholder return. Learners will gain a working knowledge of business strategy design and the production of comprehensive business plans.
The learner will gain an understanding of how the effective strategic management of human resources supports the achievement of organizational purposes in the different organizational contexts. The unit seeks to analyze and evaluate the contribution of strategic human resource management to competitive advantage.
This unit provides an in-depth understanding of the key principles and practice of leadership This will enhance the individuals’ knowledge, skills and attributes to effectively engage in the role and responsibilities required of an effective team player and leader of a team; being proactive in innovation and improvement to inform strategy and business planning within the organization.
To examine the principles of strategy and change management and provide learners with a critical understanding and ability to use various models of the strategy and change management process and the analysis of internal-external environmental and resource variables.
