Level 3 Diploma In Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement- 8 -10 Months - 10 Credits
This Level 3 qualification in Business Management is designed to align with industry standards and best practices, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of assessment principles and quality assurance processes. Developed in consultation with educational experts and sector professionals, it provides learners with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to assess business-related knowledge and skills effectively. The qualification prepares learners to apply assessment techniques in diverse settings, such as classrooms, workshops, or professional training environments.
Time Table
The programme runs from 26 October 2026 to 26 July 2027, covering six academic learning and assessment periods. Teaching includes guided lectures, practical activities, case studies, group discussions, independent study and assignment preparation. A Winter Vacation is scheduled from 21 December 2026 to 8 January 2027, followed by a Spring Vacation from 29 March to 16 April 2027. The final period focuses on assignment completion, assessment, quality assurance, academic review and confirmation of programme completion, with results processed in August 2027.
Course Details
The objective of the OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Business Management qualification is to
provide learners with an in-depth understanding of the operations and structure of
businesses.
The qualification will provide learners with the underpinning knowledge, understanding and
skills associated with business activities. It will prompt research, investigation and review of
aspects of business which include Business Communication, The Business Environment,
People Management, Customer Service, Finance and Marketing.
After completing OTHM Level 3 Diploma in Business Management a learner should be able
to demonstrate and/or work with:
Knowledge and Understanding
● An appreciation of the body of knowledge that constitutes a discipline of business.
● A range of knowledge, facts, theories, ideas, properties, materials, terminology,
practices and techniques about, and associated with, business , its functions and its
context.
● Apply knowledge, skills and understanding using some of the basic, routine
practices, techniques to address set situations and/or problems related to the
business management of organisations.
● Relating field of business, functions of business, industries, sector to a range of
practical and/or commonplace applications.

Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This qualification is suitable for those who work within any sector where assessment forms part of the education and training cycle. It provides Learners with an opportunity to demonstrate their competence in assessing vocational achievement English requirements: If a learner is not from a majority English-speaking country, they must provide evidence of English language competency. An introduction to core marketing principles, including market research, segmentation, branding, and promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
This module introduces strategies for managing people effectively, including recruitment, motivation, leadership, and team development to achieve organizational goals.
Students will explore the internal and external factors influencing businesses, including economic, social, and legal environments, to understand how organizations operate and adapt.
