The purpose of this International Baccalaureate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Level 6) is to professionally and individually develop self-reflective educators capable of meeting the evolving demands of the education sector and thriving in a constantly changing world.

This course enhances your ability to understand educational challenges, analyze teaching practices, and develop effective solutions. It introduces fundamental concepts essential to understanding how educational systems function, ensuring that whether you pursue further studies or advance in your teaching career, you will excel with a critically developed understanding of the key skills needed to succeed in the field of education.

This International Baccalaureate Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Level 6) serves as a foundation for further education in education and teaching while enhancing employment opportunities in the field.

After the successful completion of the Programme, you will earn a UK 120 credit hours Certification awarded by MSBM partners.

Course Details

Each module consists of 40 guided learning hours of material with an additional 30-50 hours worth of optional materials which comprise of recommended exercises, recommended readings and internet resources. Within the modules are self-testing exercises. You must take care in answering these. Although they are not marked nor do they count towards your final assessment, the marking is tested against your scoring on the final assessment to check for consistency of score.

Successful completion of the full Level 6 Baccalaureate Diploma in Teaching and Learning will equip students with the credentials to pursue careers in education, teaching leadership, curriculum design, instructional coordination, or educational consultancy.

Upon the successful completion of the course, the student will be able to learn the following:
  • Focuses on creating effective, structured lesson plans to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Develops skills for self-assessment and continuous improvement in teaching practices.
  • Explores strategies to manage classroom behavior and foster a positive learning environment.
  • Covers principles for designing engaging and effective educational curricula.

  • Focuses on leveraging digital tools and technologies to enhance teaching and learning experiences.

Entry Requirements

For entry into Level 6 International Higher Diploma in Teaching and Learning, learners must possess:


* Relevant/Local Board of Examination Result in your Country, which must include at least 5 'C' Grades in English and 4 other subjects. 

* Level 3, 4 and 5 Certificates. 

* Mock Examination Results can also be accepted for initial Conditional Admission, pending the release of the Board of Examination Results. (This is assessed on a case by case basis). 

* Learner must be 18 years and older at the start of the Course. 

OR

Mature Learners (21 years and older) with work experience in supervisory, leadership, or management roles. (This is assessed on a case by case basis).
