International Higher National Diploma In Information Technology
The International Higher National Diploma in Information Technology offers a comprehensive foundation in core computing concepts and applied technological skills. Course Details
Year 1 focuses on establishing strong fundamentals in computer hardware, data representation, web development, structured programming, graphics, multimedia, networking, leadership, mathematics, and software engineering principles. These modules build technical competence and introduce essential problem-solving and analytical techniques. Year 2 strengthens advanced programming skills, web technologies, UX/UI design, business process support, professional practice, and data structures, while also integrating business English and e-commerce strategy. The program concludes with a computing research project that promotes independent inquiry, technical application, and project-based learning.
Upon the successful completion of the course, the student will be able to learn the following:
- Assemble, configure, and troubleshoot computer hardware for reliable performance.
- Interpret data representation methods and apply organizational structures for efficient processing.
- Design functional websites using web development tools and techniques.
- Develop programs using structured logic, coding standards, and problem-solving skills.

University Progression
University Top-upOn completion of this course, students have the opportunity to complete a Master degree programme from Girne American University. The top-up programme can be studied online or on campus. The top-up comprises the final 60 credits which consist of either a dissertation or a dissertation and one module.

Entry Requirements
For entry into International Higher National Diploma in information technology, learners must possess:
* Relevant/Local Board of Examination Result in your Country, which must include at least 5 'C' Grades in English and 4 other subjects.
* Mock Examination Results can also be accepted for initial Conditional Admission, pending the release of the Board of Examination Results. (This is assessed on a case by case basis).
* Learner must be 18 years and older at the start of the Course.
OR
Mature Learners (21 years and older) with work experience in supervisory, leadership, or management roles. (This is assessed on a case by case basis).
