The PhD in Business Administration is designed to develop advanced research capabilities and strategic insight essential for solving complex business challenges. The programme explores interdisciplinary themes including organizational leadership, global markets, and innovation management. The course is delivered in two segments. 

Segment 1 consists of Seven modules, each one with an assignment and Segment 2 consists of a RESEARCH REPORT(paper)

Segment 1:

Modules: You will be awarded a level 8 Diploma for the completion of the coursework of the following modules.

Advanced Research Methods:

This module provides in-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies essential for doctoral inquiry. It includes theoretical foundations such as research philosophy and design, alongside practical applications in data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Emphasis is placed on ethical considerations to support responsible and rigorous research.

Advanced Human Resource Management:

This module explores the strategic management of human resources within complex organizational contexts. Core topics include recruitment, employee development, performance management, and motivation techniques aimed at enhancing productivity and minimizing operational costs. The focus is on aligning human capital with organizational objectives.

Managerial Economics:

The module explores microeconomic and macroeconomic concepts relevant to managerial decision-making. Students will examine market structures, pricing strategies, and resource allocation within firms. Economic theories are applied to solve real-world business problems and improve efficiency. It also covers global economic trends and their influence on corporate strategy. The aim is to enhance analytical thinking for informed managerial actions.

Financial Management:

This module provides in-depth knowledge of financial planning, capital budgeting, and risk analysis. It covers key financial statements, valuation methods, and investment decision tools. Students will explore corporate finance strategies and their impact on business performance. The module includes case studies on mergers, acquisitions, and shareholder value. It equips learners to lead financial functions within dynamic business environments.

Marketing Management:

Students explore the strategic role of marketing in achieving organizational goals. The module includes market segmentation, product positioning, and branding strategies. Emphasis is placed on customer behavior, digital marketing, and performance measurement. Case-based learning helps students apply theories in real business contexts. Learners develop comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business objectives.

Business Ethics and Social Responsibility:
This module investigates ethical issues, corporate governance, and sustainable business practices. Students critically assess ethical frameworks and their relevance to global business operations. Topics include stakeholder theory, CSR, regulatory compliance, and ethical leadership. The course fosters responsible decision-making and accountability in business. Learners will explore how ethical behavior builds long-term organizational trust and success.


Economic Theory and Policy:
Students examine foundational and advanced economic theories shaping policy and practice. The module covers fiscal and monetary policy, international trade, and economic development. It links theoretical models to contemporary global economic challenges. Policy analysis tools are introduced to evaluate the effectiveness of economic decisions. Leadership in Organizations:

Segment 2 - RESEARCH/THESIS:

Here, you will produce an academic standard research report in this segment. This segment will last nominally for one-two year. Your specialization depends on the topic you will select for the research.

Students will learn how to design research proposals, formulate hypotheses, and apply statistical tools. Emphasis is placed on ethical research practices and scholarly integrity. After successfully completing the course, you will be awarded a degree certificate and a transcript accredited by the UCAM Catholic University Of Murcia.

Master’s or an equivalent recognized academic title in Business and Management
Master’s or an equivalent recognized academic title in any discipline with over five years of managerial and/or business experience
Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent recognized academic title in any discipline with over eight years of managerial and/or business experience

English Language Proficiency:

Our programs are conducted in the English language. As such, you must demonstrate proficiency in the English language by submitting one of the following test scores during the application process:

IELTS Overall: 5.5
TOEFL (iBT: 58+; PBT: 490+; CBT: 167+)
TOEIC Overall: 555+
PTE Overall: 50+
Duolingo Overall: 90+

English Proficiency Waivers: 

The English proficiency test is not required for the following candidates:
– Native English Speakers, OR;
– Applicants having completed their schooling in English (i.e. High School Diploma or IB), OR;
– Applicants having completed their undergraduate or graduate studies in English, OR;
– 2 years of work experience in an organization where English is the primary language of communication.

Workshops are conducted through live webinars for online students.

Weekly write-up webinars and monthly supervisor meetings will be held to offer better coordination between the student and the supervisor and achieve optimal professionalism in writing the research report.
