The IPGD in Human Resource Management (Level 7) is designed to develop advanced-level knowledge and practical expertise in managing people and organizational growth. Business Research Methods: This module explores advanced research methodologies used in HR and management. Students learn to design, execute, and evaluate research projects that inform evidence-based HR practices.

Engagement of Employees and Organisational Learning: Focuses on the psychological and structural drivers of employee engagement and lifelong learning. It examines techniques for building resilient, adaptive, and high-performing organizations.

Global Resourcing Talents and Reward Management: Examines strategies for attracting, retaining, and rewarding talent in a competitive global market. Topics include workforce planning, compensation systems, and ethical recruitment practices.

Leadership Development and Performance Management: Explores the integration of leadership development with performance systems to enhance individual and organizational outcomes. It includes succession planning, coaching, and feedback models.

Managing Employment Relations and Employment Law: Covers the legal and strategic aspects of employment relationships, including contracts, dispute resolution, and labor rights. Emphasis is placed on compliance and risk mitigation.

Strategic Human Resource Management: Enables learners to align HR strategy with business goals to support innovation and competitive advantage. The module covers workforce analytics, strategic planning, and change management.


Assessment: Graduation Project (GP)

Upon finishing the coursework, students must complete a graduation project (GP) that combines and utilises the knowledge acquired across different modules. This qualification embodies current practices in Human Resource Management and helps learners deepen and broaden their understanding of the field at an advanced level.

For entry onto the International Postgraduate Diploma (IPGD) in Human Resource Management qualification, learners must possess:

  • An honours degree in a related subject or the UK level 6 diploma or equivalent overseas qualification, i.e. Bachelors Degree or Higher National Diploma.

       OR

  • Mature learners (over 25) with at least five years of management experience if they do not possess the above qualification (this is reviewed on a case-by-case basis).
